I understand your point...You however don't get the fact that he was willing to break the law and commit murder. What makes you think he would have changed his mind if guns were illegal?

Think about it this way...Is cocaine illegal where you live? Can you go out and buy cocaine? Is marijuana illegal where you live? Can you buy marijuana? Is car jacking illegal in your State? Has anyone carjacked a car in the State you live in?

The point is that people who want to commit crimes find a way to perpetrate them. He obviously planned the murders and followed through with his desire to break the law. What more would it have taken to acquire a gun if guns were illegal? Do you think that he would abandon his attempt to commit these murders because guns were illegal?

Now think about this...What if one of the teachers had a gun at the university? Could the murder of several students have been prevented if one of the faculty members had a firearm and took out the killer?
