Actualy I've driven the x5 though mudd, turn traction controll off, put it in tiptronic mode and your fairly safe.

The owner of the red jeep and I were out screwing around in the mudd the weekend before last in the x5 and we were both impressed with its ability to keep from getting stuck

*I have a fair amount of experiance "screwing around offroad" so the avg person might have got stuck in the same situation.

Also for the crappy tires it has on it I'm kinda suprised it didn't get stuck.
