If what you say is true and this is purely a socioeconomic problem the numbers should show a significantly higher rate of white murders in this Country. Whites make up most of the population and thus have a higher number of poor spread across America. Yes it is true that a higher percentage of Blacks and Hispanics fall under the poverty level; however, there are still many more whites who qualify as indigent poor.
That fact would suggest that the murder rate would be statically higher for whites who make up most of the poverty ranks when in fact blacks commit 7 times more of the murders. How do you explain that?
Tell me how the guy in the Pimped out Escelade with 24 inch dubs spilling out bullets from his Mack10 leaving the local club has socioeconomic issues. Tell me again how the Mexican Mafia controlling most of the drug trade in the Southern half of the US is suffering socioeconomically.
Yes there are white gangs such as the Aryan brotherhood. Plenty of violence there but in fact they are a minority in terms of numbers of gangs.
Don't go away because you lost the argument. This has nothing to do with racism. Bill Cosby correctly points this out all the time and I respect his candor and honesty. This can't be ignored and the cycle of violence needs to stop. But it can't stop if people like yourself make false excuses about poverty being the cause.
