I was not attacking in any way, it is a limitation of message boards that emotions and intent are often lost in the translation. No offense intended.

The link I provided lists what modifications are considered to qualify a vehicle for zero-rating. The page specifically lists the example of a steering wheel spinner, commenting that it is not a substantial modification but may be combined with a lift for a wheelchair user to make a vehicle 'substantially modified'. If the total modifications do not qualify as 'substantial' then only the modifications are zero-rated, not the vehicle. What I was trying to convey was that HM Revenue service may become interested in frequent sales of vehicles that are purchased under the zero-rating scheme, and then 'flipped' in the market. That is not to say that it is unreasonable to trade a vehicle in, not at all, but rather that purchasing a vehicle and using the zero-rating scheme to offset depreciation may attract their attention. Just my 2 pence.
