Why are you excluding US and Israel from the possible answers? Do they not count?

And I could very easily and correctly argue against your question with a simple answer. Now listen up Eric, I'll say this once, very clearly and slowly so you can understand.

-ANY war, in which a country was attacked, and that country continues to fight the war on foreign soil, is fighting a defensive war.
I would say WWII is a direct example of this. Germany vs. Russia.
or how about the war between the IRA and the UK?
