Whistle April 2007 X Series Sales Report

April sales of the BMW X3 and X5 Series totaled only 5,020 units, down 26.4% from the 6,823 trucks sold last April. Sales for the first four months of 2007 total 20,763 units which is a 3.6% increase over the total sold during the first four months of 2006.

For those of you who are interested Mercedes-Benz sold 2,382 M Class units this month, down 8.0% from the 2,590 sold last April.

Of more interest to me is that Land Rover sold the first 1,302 units of the new LR2 this month as I was one of those who made a purchase during the first month of sale. This compares with sales of 2,307 units of the X3. I would say that it was a decent first month for the LR2.

Please note that I only report the United States sales data.
