Actually at $75.00 per hour it's about right in NorCal for an independent BMW shop . You gotta remember mine is still under warranty so we don't let the dealer know what i do on the side. Dealer prices can be cheaper because oil changes are used as bait for other service

Novax5 says it's about $60.00 for Oil. (Does that include filter? No!) Oil filters about $8.00 ball park and you right at $70.00 Then you add about 1/2 hour labor and your looking at $100.00. I do business with the independent because he has alway taken care of my BMW's. In fact he just did a brake job on our Mercedes priced at the Mercedes dealership for $1300.00 for $650.00. So he gets a few extra dollars for an oil change. I get it back down the line.
