The 3.0 doesn't have a valley or a valley pan or a valley pan gasket. The easiest way to troubleshoot a head gasket is to look at the spark plugs. If any of the plugs are substantially cleaner the the remaining. You have a leaking head gasket. The plugs should be dark brown on the rim and tan or light brown on the center electrode. If one or two are bright and shiny you have a head gasket leak or even worse a cracked block or cracked head.
