Unions served a GREAT purpose in the period between 1900-1960 when employees were abused BIG TIME by corporations. But now with the insane amount of legal recourse and negative pub capability...unless you're Enron...abusing employees retirement and health care is difficult IMO.

Until something is done with the UAW union, American auto companies will never compete with German or Japanese ones.
