Agree that XP Pro is the way to go. However, you might be able to achieve the desired result by installing XP Service Pack 2 (SP 2) to XP Home Edition. I noticed that after installing SP2 to my Home Edition, I was able to get VPN (Virtual Private Network) working (remote broadband connection from home to work via Cisco VPN client), so I'm thinking some of the networking features that come "standard" with XP Pro are included with SP2. Good news is it's free; bad news is that it installs some stuff you may not need or want, e.g. firewall protection, etc.
