If you read Karl Marx, you will find that everything Mr. Stein is complaining about was predicted over 150 years ago.

Marx never had a problem with Capitalism. He simply predicted that Capitalism could not be sustained and through natural progression would morph into a system that no longer resembled a free market. In the early part of the 20th century, we saw this happen in Italy and Germany and the system was called "Fascism" or sometimes called "Corporatism". Unfortunately, the same system is what we are seeing develop in the United States today.

I think Mr. Stein recognizes this, but he is too much of a capitalist to admit that this is the normal progression of capitalism and that the system ultimately will fail due to this. Instead, he seems to be throwing his hands up in the air and throwing a little bit of blame all around, instead of realizing that the blame is in the system, not the individuals. After all, the individuals are simply doing what they each think is best for themselves. And in a capitalist system, we are all trained to do what is best for us, and not what is best for the whole of soceity -- the system which teaches that is called socialism.
