just a thought. what side of the drive is the eject button on? Some people sell MK4's on ebay that are out of a 7-series and the eject button is on the opposite side. The drive is also a bit thicker than the Mk3.

I have read that these drives wont work. I dont know if they are Idrive or what but some MK4's on ebay are not a plug and play swap.
