4Runner: lot's of experience with them, just OK. Not that safe if you dont get curtain airbags.
Tahoe: May as well get an Expedition, it is cheaper and has more features.
Explorer: Also some experience, Ford has broken the stigma, it is now one of the safest vehicles in it's class. Aged, but worth a look.
Pilot: Big, not too nimble. If you don't need 8 seats, pass it.
Pathfinder/Armada: both just updated, pretty decent, although no experience with them
you should also check out Jeep Grand Cherokee, or maybe a smaller 'ute like an Escape or Outlander.
