Driving my wife's old 2002 4Runner was like riding a roller coaster. Even my kids could tell how much better the ride was when we got our first X5 to replace it. IMO, Toyota sets up its suspension on all their vehicles just way too soft. BTW, I think it's kind of amusing that people have to defend Toyotas as not being "whimpy."
