I'm sure Japs build a very good suspension, but lets not forget, BMW builds cars or Savs for much better handeling then your average Jap car. Reliability in Bmw's is a little lower then Jap cars, but if you do the maintainance you need to do on the Bmw's, you outlast and out perform any Jap car, IMO...

i would never drive a BMW in the middle of no where, but I would my toyota. BMWs are great performance vehicles, with sucky ass reliability. I have yet to meet a single BWM owner who had no visits to the dealer for issues. I have a 2003 4runner that has never been back for anything. My M5 is in the shop 2 times a month at minimum. Granted, most problems are electronic. I never had this issue with my 700 series 1997 model. It was rock solid. BMW is taking the route of Audi in the reliability department.
