Not to sound like a broken record, but first year models suck. My new thing is to wait, two to three years. When i got my 330i, i waited until 2002. The car now has 70K miles on it, and zero problems. Again, I got my X5 in 2005 and to date, not one single problem. I have 40K miles on it. I would love to get a first year model, but its way to risky

I also plan on getting the new M3. I will have to wait at least three years for BMW to fix all the bugs.
