nietodp is on a distinguished road
Your radio will only have limited display and control over the IPOD. You will only be able to select the first 5 playlists through the radio controls. If you want to play your music by selecting playlists, by artist, by genre, etc. you will need to give control to the IPOD itself. You can't do this very easily if it is in the trunk.

Also, I too have encountered worse clarity using the Dension/DICE connection. I can hear that engine noise in the background that others have experienced. I just recently ordered a different brand IPOD interface that hooks up directly to the back of the head unit. I hope this will work better.

You can leave the iPod in the trunk, but we would prefer having it in the cabin area with you so you don't have to go to the trunk every time you wanted to synchronize music.
