it is the College World Series.
the real world series is the Olympics. but, since the americans were dominating it, they dropped it from the olympics. now, they have organized a real world series, mostly of pro-level players, that plays every year, in an effort to get the olympics folks to see the level of worldwide support the sport has.
as far as pitching, the legs actually get tired before the arm. the underhand motion is a lot less wear and tear on your shoulder than the overhand in baseball.
that said, my 13 year old is a pitcher. she can throw 2 games back-to-back worth of about 70-80 pitches, but gets pretty weak by the end of the second one. if she does that, she's aching the next day.
i don't know how they go day after day after day like that. i guess they train like crazy at that level.
most teams have a senior stud pitcher that they ride come post-season.
