The US college open would be a better name. So it has worldwide support ? where are the foreign players and why host it in OKC. I'm not sure other countries have that many 'large' female athletes. The sport has been around for decades - When i was in college my school (St. Marys - San Antonio) won the ladies national tournament - NAIA(1986 i think) . I went to the tournament as well so i do appreciate the sport but it's still not a world series or world anything.

Also saying that a team dominates a team sport at the olympics can be misleading. Some countries don't sent there best pros or any pros at all. Soccer is one of the prime examples where none of the pros care bout the olympics
