I know I don't know you all very well, but I've been spending a lot of time time here for last the year and wanted to share a link to an auction on eBay to benefit the family of a friend of mine. A few of my very close friends were in a serious auto accident in March. All seven of them were piled into a little PT Cruiser (I know, very very dumb) and rear ended a parked car going about 75mph (car they hit had a flat and parked on the freeway and left the vehicle at 3am). Only the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and everyone was injured seriously and one of my friends didn't make it. Everyone has mostly recovered, but one of my closest friends, Jillian Groh, is still in a coma three months later and has extensive brain injuries.
In an effort to raise funds for her care and support for her family, her roommate has assembled an eBay auction with some interesting items to benefit her cause. I noticed some of the items for auction are autographed by notable people: a Tom Hanks signed DaVinci Code DVD, signed post oscar show shoes by Ellen DeGeneres, an original signed script from Grey's Anatomy, an original signed script from pilot episode of Heroes, a Spanglish backpack, an original handwritten music sheet for "colorblind" signed by the Counting Crows, a trip to the set of "the Office", and several other miscellaneous items.
