That's a bit of a quick assumption there really Fredo. If you call 5 BMW dealers today you will be quoted a lead time of between 4 and 8 months-dependant on dealer/area etc.
There are some cancelled orders around, but I think it's far too early to start making comments about the residuals being softter than the previous model. In fact the previous was a very slow starter too and the range didn't really hit strong demand until 6-9 months after launch and then the popular 3.0d was subject to 9-12 month waiting lists and premiums.
Don't forget that so far BMW UK have done little or no marketing for the X5 so it's a case of word of mouth or just seeing cars around for the buying public (non enthusiast) to realise ther new X5 is out and as good as it is...
