I use the BMW leather cleaner and conditioner to good results. You could also try the stuff from Zymol, both the cleaner and conditioner (seeing as how you need to clean off that greasy residue first). My X3 shows no wear at all on the leather even on the driver's side, and I'm damn proud of that after 42,800 miles cool:
