Back in 1994 I bought a Kenwood Allora sound system. It had Dolby Digital, and all that other fancy decoding. 500W total power with a 5.1 speaker setup. 6-CD changer, dual tape deck, equalizer and DSP module.

And this system from 1994, bought in Japan still lives today, never had a problem in its entire life. This is 11 years later.
