Here is a few looks at the problem, the hole might be right on the acutator its hard to see. Basically when you remove that one piece of carpet trim on the driver side by your right foot area. It's held by one screw. Well there right next to the foot vent there is this black plastic piece that is toward the engine right below the a/c controls, thats where the hole is.
