Yeah, your grass in SoCal is a fescue hybrid which stays green all year long. I lived in OC for 9 years btw

. I think it's a long process of netting the fruit to keep the birds from eating them, and then you have to lay them out to bake in the sun and partially dry out. Maybe I'll try it sometime. No idea about the oils.
