CPO is a 2yr/50k warranty (100k is the original 50 plus the CPO 50), the extended maintenance is the separate package you can buy to cover your required maintenance on the car.

I would imagine the only one who could file a legal matter with BMW would be the seller as the car was not purchased from BMW and authenticity of the CPO was awarded by the seller.
