Smile Winter tires (tyres for you)

Todays winter tires are made specifically for use in winter roads with/ without snow or mud. Manufacturers realize that most winter driving occurs on dry or cleared pavements in colder temperatures. Snow tires are always good on icy patches and feezing rain conditions, especially during high speed cornering (as in curves on highways) and for reducing stopping distance. Modern winter tires are a valuable option even with the x-drive all-wheel drive system because laws of physics still apply: static friction between the tires and the road surface is what keeps you on the road.

For more information, please visit http://www.tirerack.com/winter/wintertesting.jsp , or please consult your BMW dealer for recommended winter setup avaiable for your x5.
