Makes alot of sense. If you read page 22 of:

You see exactly what AZN is talking about. Basically the chart shows

Accelerator pedal position/angle on the Y axis and Speed on the X. The torque converter is locked up most of the time, but in certain situations, low speed, pedal to the floor, you get tons of slip. Ive most certainly felt this after taking a corner and thought it was abnormal, but its definately in the software.

I find myself reading myself to sleep reading the technical documents here on x5world, does anyone else?
