From your article:

But the panel also said it had "found no basis for concluding that evidence in the case was fabricated by the police, the Crown (the prosecutors), forensic scientists, or any other representatives of official bodies or government agencies."
In a separate statement, the Reverend Graham Forbes, the commission's chairman, said: "Some of what we have discovered may imply innocence; some of what we have discovered may imply guilt. However, such matters are for a court to decide."

But this is all just a "business deal:"

On May 29, 2002, Libya offered up to US$2.7 billion to settle claims by the families of the 270 killed in the Lockerbie bombing, representing US$10 million per family.
These are uncharted waters. It is the first time that any of the states designated as sponsors of terrorism have offered compensation to families of terror victims.
On August 15, 2003 Libya's UN ambassador, Ahmed Own, submitted a letter to the UN Security Council formally accepting "responsibility for the actions of its officials" in relation to the Lockerbie bombing. The Libyan government then proceeded to pay compensation to each family of US$8 million.

Looks like you were right:

The allegations that Iran, not Libya, was behind the Lockerbie bombing in December 1988 are not new.
But the assertion by a former Iranian intelligence official, Ahmad Behbahani, that he was responsible for all "terrorist" operations carried out by the Iranian Government beyond its borders - including the Lockerbie bombing - may have an impact on the current trial in the Netherlands of the two Libyan suspects in the case.

Declare war on Iran now!

Hmm, I reckon Eric works for CIA, MI5 and Mossad and is attacking the conspiracy theorists, rather than be alled to task for his actions. It's widely known on many web-sites that Eric was present in the Nevada desert during the 1950's and was in Dallas in november 1963. He was in Paris the day that Diana was run off the road, and more recently he was working in New York in September 2001. Nowadays, he spends most of his time trying to discredit "truth seekers" on the internet!

Damn - I didn't know Eric was really working for the CIA!
