X5 Autobraking when going down hill

Hi

I have just had my 2005 X5 serviced for the first time. They have put new brake pads in, it had only done 18,000 miles.
Anyway i notice now that when i am going down hill and do not apply any acceleration the car will slow down itself as if someone is lighlty pressing the brakes every couple of seconds. Is this normal?

Its not in hill decent mode- cars travelling atleast 20MPH. I guess this is normal the car is trying to maintain a certain speed and if i want it to go faster i press accelerator as normal.

I am sure this is compeletly normal, its not something i have noticed before as i usually have my foot down even if i am heading down hill. Just wanted to check if its not because new brake pads have been installed.

Thanks
