Actually, the Lil'Scoot got a commutation, which differs from a pardon.
A commutation provides for the probation and fine and, potential loss
of his law license. His prison time is commuted...course, his appeal
could toss all of the above, but I doubt that will happen.
Commutations usually come during one's time being served, not before.
Dubya felt the sentence was too harsh and pulled the commutation
card. Wonder where Cheney, the Prince of Darkness, fit into this one?
