The looks got me first. I needed a ride ASAP as Chrysler was buying me out of the Jeep from hell. I thought the X5 was, and still is, the best looking SUV/SAV on the street. The Acura MDX had just come out and the dealer laughed at me when I said I needed one right away. I looked at the Lexus RX330 and then went to the BMW dealer. I test drove a 2001 3.0 and was ready to deal but hated the thought of someone pulling up next to me at a light with more horses than me. I picked up my 2001 4.4 in May 2001.
