The metallic flecks in the paint actually do a pretty nice job hiding the knicks and scratches. In fact, the 6yo rode her bike into the side of our Black Sapphire E70 and left a 6in long linear surface scratch but you can't see it at all unless you are looking for it. I really think it has everything to do with the paint! Swirl marks are fairly visible but they will be in any darker colored car.

Of course I am biased but I truly believe that Black Sapphire is best color option out there!

FWIW we have Tobacco Napa interior and bamboo trim.
