Parts actually didn't take too long to get here. The positioning motor was in the dealership in less than a week. The issue here is that the parts didn't resolve the problem.
Xena is getting connected up to Germany today! Apparently they can connect the car to the BMW network, and then the boffins in Munich can do a deeper diagnosis that is possible in the dealership. Would love to see that happening!
On a more serious note, if we cannot get progress today I'm going to have to think seriously about rejecting the car and demanding a replacement - the problem is I really like Xena. I hated driving around in the 5-series last week - it simply doesn't feel as special as the X5 does.
