Interior Panel HELP

I made the mistake of having someone install an aftermarket XM satellite system and they caused some damage to the car and now I just want to remove the system and don't want to give them a chance to cause further damage trying to jerry rig a cheap repair..... I have a 2002 BMW X5 3.0i

I have three questions:
1. How do you remove the wood trim piece that is to the right of the stereo / in front of the passenger? This is the piece that lines up to the right of the with wood trim covering the CD player.
2. Is there a way to replace the white trim piece that the stereo knob fits down in to? If so where could I locate that white trim piece?
3. How do you remove the panel under the steering wheel that would be where the drivers knee's/shins are? It looks like there are several screws that point up underneath toward the panels around the steering wheel, but when I loosen them it doesn't feel like that panel is released?

Thanks,
J
