I dont get it really, if they can do it for the 3series why not the X5. I bought the E90 when it first came out thus the reason I am hoping they would do the engine upgrade. I just dont want to get screw by them again

It's not quite that simple with BMW. They work in mysterious ways sometimes! The twin turbo diesel engine will have been available in Europe for nearly three years by the time it is seen in the E70, it never made it to the E53 and has only been available in the 5 and 3 series up until now.
