I just got this 2005 X5 4.4i two weeks ago. I am making "baby steps" with the modifications, mostly because I like most of the vehicle so much already!

I am waiting on some ACS aluminum pedals via eBay, and already got a cargo net and a few other little things.

Today, I got in my "Rear Bumper Step Protector" (part no. 82 11 0 029 671). The installation took 10 minutes, and looks pretty good, if I must say so myself.

I have been reading all your posts voraciously, and appreciate all of you sharing your thoughts and suggestions for us "newbies". Any other "must haves" you would suggest for a new owner?
