Where do yo live? Are the winters bad, if so I recomend the 17s in the winter. Interesting story behind this...

Ok so in seattle last year when we had the crazy snow days, the night it started to snow alot, it started about an hour before rush hour. Making the roads a parkinglot.

In my area there are alot of back roads and opertunitys to avoid traffic. By this time it is around 7 and we have atleast 5-6 inches of soft snow on the ground, and I am going to pick up my father and some of his work peers. I turn the corner and of course drifting sideways in this parkinglot I see a black 4.4 X5 sitting there with its lights on.

Me being the fellow x5 driver go up to the car and ask them if they need any help. The guy is compaining to me about how bad his x5 is in the snow. I tell him I am having no issues dispite my worn toyo proxies...

I tell him I would follow him so he can drive around and show me what he means. There was a huge difference between the 19s and 17s dispite I had some worn toyo proxies. I am pretty sure his tires were at about the same tread life as mine, but they were alot wider, causing him to just slip and slide on top of the snow and not dig in.

I would use the 17's in the snow,
