I thought about it, but then decided to sell the X5 instead. I checked with my dealer, and found out that there is no BMW extended warranty available in Canada, although they may introduce it at some point. Only option is aftermarket. I didn't like the one my dealer handled. If you look at any of them, you need to satisfy yourself that the company is going to be around for awhile, and get references as to how easily claims are handled, ie at more locations than just your dealer.
