Yes, Verizon is a bit better. It's also a CDMA network vs. a GSM network.
Since the rest of the world is GSM, we're just going to have to wait until the GSM infastructure is as good as the existing CDMA service.

I would say, there was about a 15% decrease in quality in phone service when I made the switch from Verizon to AT&T, but a significant increase in the available phones and much better pricing with AT&T.
Also, I absouletely loathed dealing with the Verizon stores and customer service. They have 15 people working to sell new phones and plans, and 2 people behind the counter dealing with customer service issues.

Overall, my phone service quality may have dropped a little bit, but the overall experience of AT&T, their phones, their people, etc. is a much better one. I don't miss Verizon one bit.

i've heard the opposite with people leaving att/cing. for verizon because of customer service. maybe att's service has gotten better. i checked out the plans and they're both the same price for their national plans. the only difference is cingular's rollover minutes.
