Then apply the Z1 to the car, and follow that immediately (without first buffing off the Z1) with Z2, then by the time you get back to the spot you started with, you are ready to buff off the Z2... then apply Z2 as many times as you like.. the more layers, the better the protection and shine. On my new X5, I did 3 layers of Z2, and I will likely follow up with an additional layer every 6 months or so... it will look like new for the rest of it's life.
