I am probably too late to help with your purchase of the Advans, but I just bought 4 tyres from tirerack, delivered within 5 days (!!) to my garage (and stacked !!) for
about half the price I was being quoted by Sydney tyre retailers. Fitting was $15 per tyre.
This won't last; the A$ / US$ exchange rate is currently in our favour, but the bigger issue is that when word gets back to the Australian distributors they will simply threaten to stop selling their tyres to tirerack and I would expect that tirerack will oblige and stop mailing tyres outside US. We need a global ACCC or a good lawyer!
Great service from tirerack.com; crap from the Aussie distributors.
