It seems like Honda went after BMW big time with the new MDX they even tested the car on the Nurburgring.

Plus I would end up saving about $10k.

Can some of you please put me back on the X5 trail....or would some of yougo for the new MDX if you did not already get your E70 X5 3.si as I know the 4.8 is a beast but thats another $10k.....

In any case may I have some of your view's...by the way just read the BMW Roundel Mag...and even they rate the MDX higher then the X5

Thank you.
It's a matter of personal choice and even financial to make these hard decisions. I'm still waiting delivery on my E70. The dealer screwed up my first order. My original E70 order actually came last month without the 3rd row seat, which I really need having 2 kids. I placed a new order and expected delivery is September. I was really @#$ as hell but I will wait it out and stick to the E70. I've gotten good lease offers for RR Sport and MBZ GL450 but decided that the X5 is still the best choice, having driven an E53 for the last 3 years. The MDX is a very reliable car. It looks ugly, IMO, cosmetic wise. But it doesn't do justice to even compare it to the E70. The MDX is still a Honda to me and if I want a Honda to save money, I would get a fully loaded Pilot. It seats 7, very reliable and looks better than the MDX. The E70 and MDX may be considered in the same class according to industry standards but driving a BMW E70 totally bumps you up to a higher and better class of it's own.

I'm still waiting, I hope you do to. But at the end, it all comes down to your personal preference. Good luck!
