onesixeight is on a distinguished road
Earlier this year, I was in a similar situation deciding between the two cars. My decision to get the X5 was a personal one and at the end I decided on a 4.8i with options not available on the MDX. When I did a lease quote on the MDX, it came out to $825 fully loaded with the Tech and Sports packages. That is the same as the 3.0 fully loaded in my area, so the $10k savings was not really a factor when doing a lease.

In all honestly, I can't really say that I'm so convinced the BMW is that much better. It really depends if the options you want are not available on the MDX. If so, then its a clear decision and I'd wait.

Have you had a chance to test drive the MDX and what were your thoughts?

I drove the MDX for 3 days as I was given one of their demo cars to take home and I must say its a great SUV for the money. At the end of the day, I could get over a couple of things. The bluetooth on the Acura's are very finicky and you must use one of the approved phones to get the phone book to work. The dash is extremely cluttered with buttons and while I certainly could get used to it, it made my head spin just looking at it.
