I think that much is obvious.
But as I mentioned above, I would like to see a similar chart dividing murders by class. I think you would find poor people much more likely to be murdered than middle class or wealthy people. And you would probably find the highest murder rates in poor neighborhoods.
If that is indeed the case, could one then conclude that blacks are more likely to be murdered not because of the color of their skin, but because they are more likely to be poor (and live in poor neighborhoods) than whites are??
In the case of your post starting this thread, the city where these murders took place was Newark. Have you ever been to Newark? It is just about the poorest place on the planet. There is no "good" area of Newark, except perhaps the Airport which is halfway decent. The entire city is one big ghetto.
