Have changed the Default Map Area Preset from R24 G24 B24 to R17 G17 B10 in each profile using the RGB sliders (rom_col, ... , rom_col_11).
Planned Route also reverted back to its original white.

Now the Rural Areas looks like more 'mid dark military green' instead of white and the white planned route is visible in all areas.

Again it only works in split screen mode. In full screen, areas colors remain unchanged !

I can live with the split screen mode but want to understand why the colour update doesn't work in full screen mode.
