Hi seedar,

Yes its not to hard, very straight forward, I did just this in my E46, check this link out.

Most the parts are the same (for the E46/E39), if you want the centre console cradle you will need to add this on top, as I just used a normal pair button.

If you don't have SatNav, or dont fancy making your own loom, get one from the dealer (its approx £120-$240).

Or go to someone like Martin @ navman, and get the kit from him, not cheap but very good.
