ED is being introduced across the X5 range, it was announced a few weeks ago. It was introduced earlier because of the UK market but I believe all X5's globally will get ED. I think this press relaease LeMans has is BMW GB wanting it to get out there that the two diesel X5's beat the 225g/km limit, it is a huge deal for BMW in the UK as none of the competitors cars get below that level. If you live in Central London and drive your car every day it will cost you over £6500 to drive a car over the 225g/km limit...under that 225 g/km barrier and it's £200 a year.
