I'm new to this group and would like to thank everybody who has posted information regarding upgrading their navigation system. I recently bought a 2002 X5 3.0D and after reading pretty much every post on the subject, successfully upgraded my MKIII to V29.1 and also 'aquired' (isn't the internet a wonderful playground) the latest maps for my area (currently Benelux), burnt them to disc and they work as well.
Unfortunately, in spite of the above, my nav systems GPS does not currently provide a position which I suspect to be an antenna issue and have ordered a replacement. If I access the GPS tracking status in the hidden menu it shows that it is receiving PRN info from 8 satellites but 0.0 for S/N Ratio. If anybody has any ideas apart from trying a new antenna I'd appreciate the imput.
