The valet/spare key has its own settings. Your metal key has no settings and negates the remote settings.

You need to lock and unlock the vehicle using the REMOTE and not comfort access. This will tell the car that you want YOUR remote settings to be used again.

I had the same problem and once you use the spare key... having the other remote in the car means nothing. You would think that using the comfort access feature would change your settings back but it does not.

Lock and Unlock with the remote button and your back in business.
